Renovation Update
Hotel Fifty's top-to-bottom renovation is nearly complete!
Interior designer Gibb Fischer of MNID Associates in Seattle implemented design materials and color schemes that accent Hotel Fifty's natural and contemporary environment.
Fischer transformed the property with blended design elements to create an upscale residential atmosphere boasting the ultimate in style and comfort. A cool and relaxing color scheme of cozy neutrals, modern tones and clean lines bespeak a crisp ambience. Original photography throughout the hotel showcases Portland's famous bridges and beautiful scenery. The renovated Hotel Fifty will definitely be Northwest!
Guest room renovation highlights include African wood paneling, new furnishings and ergonomic seating. Each room features an inviting Simmons® Beautyrest BlackTM Beverly HillsTM adorned with luxury linens.
Functional desk space and wall mounted 42" plasma HDTVs with on-demand movies, along with dual-line speaker telephones and complimentary high speed Internet access are featured. The Sharper Image Perfect Hotel Alarm Clock with DualConnectTM technology for iPod®, iPhone®, or MP3 player as well as guestLINKTM PowerWaveTM connecting multiple portable media devices to HDTV are two brand new cutting edge guest room amenities.
Upgraded bathrooms feature oversized walk-in showers, polished, rough and honed marble tile flooring, and countertops of thick, colored glass. Amenities include signature bath products and handheld hairdryers.
Exterior renovations revitalize the contemporary 1960s architecture with new glass awnings, a new exterior paint palette, and colorful LED lighting around the building. In addition, new landscape designs and a fountain are scheduled.
Hotel Fifty will also be home to downtown Portland's freshest and most exciting new restaurant concept, H5O. It is scheduled to open July 5. H5O will offer diners a five-star experience -- without the fuss and at an affordable price. With focus on flavors and seamless kitchen-to-dining room service, this avant-garde American bistro is sure to delight. There's even an 800-bottle viewable wine cellar and a 15-person private dining room for special occasions. It will be a "fun" place to "hang out."
Oh, and the hotel's event venues have been expanded to accommodate up to 65 guests for meetings and or catered functions. There will also be a brand new business center.
